Funding program "SWEET" to run from 2021 to 2032

At its meeting on 26 February the Swiss Federal Council approved the dispatch on the new funding program "Swiss energy research for the energy transition" (SWEET) for the attention of the Swiss Parliament.

external pageSWEET is a new funding program of the external pageSwiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) that will run for the years 2021 to 2032. SWEET aims at supporting projects that are crucial to implement Switzerland's Energy Strategy 2050 as well as achieving the country's climate policy goals.  

First call for proposals in 2020

First calls for SWEET consortia and project will be launched in 2020 under the guiding theme of: "Integration of Renewables into a Sustainable and Resilient Swiss Energy System".

From 27 February to 24 March, researchers are invited to propose potential research topics for this first thematic call. Based on these topics, the SFOE will define the first call for proposals, which is expected to open in June 2020.

The Energy Science Center is actively committed to proposing research topics for these upcoming calls.
