ESC welcomes Stefano Moret as new member
The Energy Science Center (ESC) welcomes Dr. Stefano Moret as a new member of the competence center.
Dr. Stefano Moret joined ETH Zurich in September 2022 as a Senior Scientist and Principal Investigator of the RIMES - Robust Integrated Modeling for Energy and Engineering Systems project. At ETH Zurich, Stefano Moret leads an independent research group funded by a 4-year external pageAmbizione grant awarded by the external pageSwiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). His group is hosted and closely collaborates with the Energy and Process Systems Engineering (EPSE) laboratory, headed by Energy Science Center member Professor André Bardow.
The research of the Moret group develops along two main research axes: (i) the development of fast and concise whole-energy systems models and (ii) the consideration of uncertainty in energy systems planning and strategic decision-making. The group develops advanced mathematical methods to embed uncertainty in energy systems optimisation models and has a strong interest as well as a track record in applying their models to support strategic decision-making in industry and the public sector.
